Ms. Riegel is President of Strategic Healthcare Advisors and a senior executive with 30 years of healthcare experience. She specializes in strategic and business planning, facilitation of Board and management retreats, partnerships and affiliation discussions, physician needs and alignment, and business advisory services.
She has published over 25 articles on healthcare strategy and has spoken at large Association meetings. She has over 20 years of consulting experience with Ernst & Young, The Camden Group and Strategic Healthcare Advisors.
Her clients include Health Systems, hospitals, medical groups, IPAs and provider-owned health plans. She has assisted with numerous partnership and affiliation projects including the identification of various potential models, facilitation of discussions, identification of market potential and financial impact, development of terms and other critical elements.
Prior to returning to consulting, Ms. Riegel was responsible for planning, business development and physician recruitment for Providence Health and Services’ facilities in the Little Company of Mary Service Area. Within the service area, she supported two general acute care hospitals, a 50-member physician group, hospice, home health, sub-acute, and long-term care facilities. Ms. Riegel was also the vice president of planning and business development at CHW (Dignity) California Hospital Medical Center and the Daughters of Charity’s St. Vincent Medical Center in downtown Los Angeles. In these roles, she was responsible for strategic planning, master planning, service line business plans, physician recruitment, marketing plans, and developed and enhanced centers of excellence.
Ms. Riegel received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in health policy and administration, and her MBA from The Peter F. Drucker Management School at Claremont Graduate University. She is a trained and experienced facilitator using GE’s change acceleration process and tools.
Ms. Perry is Vice President, Finance of Strategic Healthcare Advisors and has more than 25 years of financial advisory experience in the healthcare industry. Her focus includes financial feasibility studies, business plans, and other financial advisory projects for hospitals and physician organizations.
Ms. Perry’s feasibility work includes studies for replacement hospitals, start-up hospitals, ambulatory care centers, medical office buildings, long-term care facilities, and service line expansions. Ms. Perry’s feasibility studies have been published in the official statement for hospitals seeking tax-exempt financing.
In addition to her financial advisory projects, Ms. Perry has also served as interim controller for a start-up hospital and foundation, which included implementing the accounting system, establishing policies and procedures, overseeing the accounting department and development of monthly financial statements, and hiring of the permanent accounting team.
Ms. Perry has 20 years of consulting experience with The Camden Group and KPMG Peat Marwick’s National Healthcare Strategy Practice, and 4 years of audit experience with KPMG’s Healthcare Assurance practice.
Ms. Witt has more than 30 years of healthcare experience in the areas of medical group and integrated delivery system development and management, physician compensation design, performance improvement, work flow redesign, managed care, strategic planning, and healthcare marketing.
Ms. Witt has led medical group development, physician-hospital initiatives, clinical integration efforts, strategic planning, physician compensation design, performance improvement, and operational turnaround for integrated delivery systems, medical groups, and academic medical centers throughout the country. She guides medical groups and hospitals in the redesign of their patient care model as they transform themselves for success in this new fee-for-value environment. This includes care model redesign, implementation of patient-centered medical homes, development and execution of patient engagement strategies to improve the patient experience.
Ms. Witt is a frequent speaker and author on medical group and managed care issues. She speaks regularly for the Medical Group Management Association and the American Academy of Medical Management. She is a major contributing author to the recently published book, Medical Group Management: Strategies for Enhancing Performance and is frequently quoted in healthcare publications and newsletters, including Modern Physician.
Ms. Witt has held management positions in hospitals, health systems, and management services organizations (“MSOs”), and consulting firms. In her last position with the consulting firm, The Camden Group, she was a senior vice president and led the Physician Services Division. She also served as Vice President, Operations for PrimeCare Health Services, a MSO serving over 100 physicians through the provision of practice management and managed care services. She has also served as the director of physician services and manager of contracting for a multi-hospital system. Ms. Witt has a master's degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee where she graduated with honors.
Ms. Bohannon has specialized in strategic planning, finance, and data analysis for more than 25 years. Her clients include health systems, medical groups, hospitals, investment firms, marketing companies, boards and universities. She has extensive expertise in market assessments, data analysis, modeling, and mapping.
As a former consultant for a senior-level health care consulting firm, Ms. Bohannon analyzed the impact of marketplace and industry trends on client organizations. She developed business plans and provided strategic planning services for diverse health care organizations. She has extensive database expertise and continually researches, updates and maintains health care market information databases.
Prior to a career in consulting, Ms. Bohannon worked for Kaiser Permanente where she was responsible for directing the financial and budgetary operations of a 2,000 employee inpatient and outpatient medical center with an annual operating budget of $150 million. She restructured the medical center operating budget process and developed a modern, computer-based budgeting tool which resulted in more accurate and timely budgets. As Chair of the Capital Equipment Committee, she redesigned the decision-making processes for asset acquisition and developed a database to track capital acquisition divesture.
Ms. Bohannon earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego, in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences and her MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Southern California. She has extensive volunteer experience with fundraising, event planning, mentoring and committee leadership.
